The Second Annual Carlsbad Eschatology Conference is glad to announce a watershed event.

As part of this year’s program, we will be hosting a debate between Don Preston and Mac Deaver.

Mac Deaver followed his father, Roy, in the ministry. Mac has served for decades in the Church of Christ, and is a veteran debater; he holds meetings regularly across the United States. Mac possesses about as big a name as there is in the Churches of Christ today. This debate should therefore receive a lot of attention. A book transcribing the debate is already planned. To optimize attendance, the debate will be held Thursday and Friday evenings, March 13th and 14th, and conclude Saturday morning 8-12, March 15th.

Also, we are glad to announce that this year’s conference will feature the release of the long awaited Mathison Response.

Several years ago, Keith Mathison published a book attacking full Preterism. Mathison’s book - When Shall These Things Be? – featured the biggest names in the Reformed Church; names like Kenneth Gentry, Robert Strimple, Charles Hill, Keith Mathison, Richard Pratt, and R.C. Sproul Jr. Our response is now ready and is scheduled for release at the conference. Many of the contributing authors will be there, including: Sam Frost (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), William Bell (Memphis, TN), Don Preston (Ardmore, OK), and Kurt Simmons (Carlsbad, NM).

We are also excited to announce an outstanding list of speakers, including: Tom Kloske (Little Rock, AR) Sam Frost (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), William Bell (Memphis, TN), Don Preston (Ardmore, OK), Jack Gibbert (Texarkana, TX), and Kurt Simmons (Carlsbad, NM).

The conference is FREE, and includes a tour of the world famous Carlsbad Caverns (there is a $6 admission fee to the caverns). Millions of people come to Carlsbad merely to see the caverns, and enjoy the wide open spaces and warm winter weather of South-eastern New Mexico. A smart few will also take in the Carlsbad Eschatology Conference, also!

These live seminars are excellent ways to learn as they are often accompanied by open forums and questions and answers from the audience.

They get exciting as the answers are not rehearsed.

Be sure to bring writing materials to take notes. You'll also want your Bibles to follow along.

There'll be plenty of resource materials available for purchase such as books, CD's, DVD's and other study materials, so bring a little cash as you will want to take some of these excellent reference materials home with you.

You'll also want to share them with friends. The schedule and events page allows you to see where meetings are held at a glance. We like to know where the good restaurants are, so if you want to send us a list of those for any particular city, we can post them on the details page. I'm always on the lookout for great barbecue.
